What does it mean to make a song?

I often get asked a question : how do you go about making a song. Usually then my counter question is: what exactly do you mean..do you mean how does one Write lyrics, Compose, arrange, record, edit, etc etc?? ..

See, most people think of making a song as writing lyrics and composing a melody. But its way more than that. Also, a lot of people contribute to the final outcome for calling it a good song. Equally, there are no rules or processes about it that are set in stone.
