TORN👺👼!

We humans are an intriguing species! We toil to learn, then struggle to earn, and the money we get, we just burn..lol. Now, that's what's happening on the outside. Interestingly enough, there is an inner dialogue that goes on all this while. The one between your ego and alter-ego, if you will. Its a debate that changes topics, speakers, situations, ...all the time. Sometimes, it's an animated or even a chaotic conversation, with no definite results. At other times, its a placid discussion, slowly leading you to a definite call-to-action! We all undergo these experiences, mostly beyond our control. In a metaphysical sense, this dialogue is usually engineered by our soul, that inner light that is subconsciously guiding us to our purpose. The irony is, that even though the subconscious has great powers to make us exceed our physical capabilities, the conscious mind has far more control over the physical body. It is always telling the body - do not answer the former's calling, I am your boss!!

How willing we are to surrender to our subconscious will determine how well and how soon will we be able to lead a truly enriched life- a life-path scripted by our soul. It takes training, a lot of effort, and usually a passage through some unfortunate experiences, to be able to do that.

Well, like everyone else, my two inner selves are always in discussion. As I grow older, the topic of this conversation has a lot to do with issues like- Is what I have, enough? Do I need to ask, to acquire? Do I reach out and take what I want, fearing it would run out? Will I be happy or suffer more, if I free myself of these desires?

Have you thought of the outside

Sitting inside, alone

And wondered if

You were still intact or torn

Did you ever travel afar

Into the unknown stretches of brain

And pondered how much

Of it is free, or will ever remain

Have you ever asked yourself

If you will break the chain

Of desolate suffering alone

or be able to surrender, let go the pain

Was it all worth it

The wanting, taking and keeping

Or did it ever occur to you

That happiness is in the giving

Torn you may be, right now

But the choice is yours

Let go of the fear and ego

Let the subconscious make your spirit flow
